Why Dolce Early Learning Center
At Dolce Early Learning Center we believe the best way for your child to embrace the joy of learning is to learn in a fun, comfortable and encouraging environment. We support children to curate positive behavior, build skills, and friendships. We focus on growing your child’s strengths, encouraging them to explore new ideas, become curious about the world, and build courage and confidence.
In our Reggio Emilia classrooms we view young children as individuals who are curious about their world and have powerful potential to learn from all that surrounds them. Educational, psychological and sociological influences are important factors to consider in understanding children and working to simulate learning in appropriate ways. Our teachers employ strategies such as exposing children to a wide variety of educational opportunities that encourage self-expression, communication, logical thinking, creativity, and problem solving.
Our Mission & Philosophy
At Dolce Early Learning Center, our mission is to maintain high-quality care for children in a fun and interactive environment. Dolce provides Reggio Emilia curriculum-based childcare for children 6 weeks to 5 years old.
Our teachers play a dual role in the Reggio classroom. Their primary role is to learn alongside children, becoming involved in group learning experiences as a guide and a resource. A Reggio teacher must always carefully observe and track the growth of children and the community. Reggio teachers are trained in careful observation and documentation. They use their observations and documentations to plan and adjust their curriculum accordingly.
The classroom is also seen as the “third teacher.” Great care is taken to construct an environment that allows for the easy exploration of various interests.
All of these principles and beliefs combine to make Reggio Emilia classrooms an interesting and effective method of expanding children’s minds – one adventure at a time.
