Meet Our Director
My name is Marlene Watkins, and I am honored to serve as the Center Director at Dolce Early Learning Center. With more than 20 years of experience in early childhood education, my journey has taken me from classroom teacher to team lead, education specialist, assistant director, and, for the past 13 years, center director. These roles have given me a deep understanding of what it takes to create safe, nurturing, and engaging environments where children can truly flourish.
I grew up in Starkville, Mississippi, as one of seven siblings, and today I am blessed with four children and a large extended family. My upbringing taught me the value of connection, compassion, and community—principles I carry into my work every day.
I believe strongly in the power of unity. It takes a village to raise a child, and I am committed to helping build the strong roots every child needs to thrive. At Dolce, I am excited to partner with families and staff to create a community where every child feels valued, respected, and empowered to reach their fullest potential.
